Where membership applies
Your county, city, or London borough
Member, Premium, and VIP each cover one county, city, or London borough: the one you choose at sign-up. Extra counties, cities, or London boroughs can be purchased separately.
Recherché is different: it includes every county, city, and London borough we cover, with no extra charge.

How do I choose a membership tier?
Choose the level that matches how often you want to meet and how much support you would like from the club.
Higher tiers include everything in the levels below, so you can start with Member and step up when you are ready.

How to become a Member

Visitors are welcome to browse the site. Guests may join a single one-off event without becoming a Member, ask us when you book.
Pay-as-you-go
Simply purchase an annual or monthly membership for the best value. We do not tie you in with lengthy fees. A standing order, totally within your control, just cancel at any time, is a value for money option.

Many of our walks follow well-marked routes. For general walking safety tips, see guidance from the Ramblers on walking safely.
